FUNDING CHALLENGES

Since 2010, revenue limit increases have not kept pace with inflation.

Had the formula been annually adjusted for inflation, public school districts in Wisconsin would receive > $3200 per pupil more under the revenue limit formula each year.

For Holmen, that would equate to $11.6 million in the operating revenue budget for the 2024-25 school year.

As a result, the School District of Holmen’s revenue has fallen farther and farther behind the basic expenses needed to operate our schools.

Federal Pandemic Relief Funding provided temporary support for behavioral and mental health services during the pandemic.

While these funds have ended, the need for these critical services remains.
